4 more sessions update

I am having a problem logging into blogger with my google account on my laptop, so i wasnt able to give an update of how the summer has been going poker-wise. Played again at fazes dropped $100, then at Franks Cash game event 1, lost $250 in that, specific hands i had remembered but dont really anymore, there were some good ones too, then i played in franks second event and won $30.

that brings it up to speed, that night after franks second cash game I went to Nats game. Bought in for $100, the table was easily the toughest table I had seen at nats, consisting of Bill(very tight, aggressive) Eddie(just as tight as bill) Frankie(solid tight-aggressive $5/$10 AC player) Brad(just like frankie but not as tight, AC player as well) McGovern(tight) a random kid i'd never seen as well as an older guy i had never seen but they played pretty tight passive, and then the only person keeping the game flowing, Gavin. Gavin plays 80% of the cards he is dealt and 60% of the time he goes to the river. He is extremely loose and extremely aggressive, if i recall he made over 15 all in bets (with a 200+ stack and $350+ most of the night). He was the chip mover...

anyway the game started off tight and for the first hour i played exactly two hands, took down the pot on the flop. brad got up, kilgus took his seat, and there were some other players too that came in after guys like the older dude and eddie left. Anyway, it turned into the wildest table I had ever seen. I played pretty tight aggressive and had my stack at around $80 when the following hand came up:

I get As9h in middle position and decide to limp. Gavin makes it $7 to go and there are 3 callers so i decide to call. The flop comes 4s 5s 9s Frankie checks, I check, Gavin bets $20, Frankie raises to $60. I go all in for slightly less. Gavin calls. Frankie has 45o for two pair and Gavin has a pair of 4s with the 6 of spades. the turn is a blank and the river is a Js and I triple up.

From that point I floated around $180-200 for awhile, got AA and KK and picked up some pots, no rivers until the following:

I have a little over $220, I get 79suited and limp under the gun, gavin makes it $13 and 4 people call, I told you this was a wild table, it gets to me and I am loving the odds so I call. The flop comes 789 rainbow. checked to me, I check pot is around $70, gavin bets $100, folded to me I go all in for $204. gavin calls with I am told was a 6, he didnt show, missed and mucked. Now my stack is up over $450. After that really only got mixed up in one more hand:

Picked up KK on the button, mind you prior to this hand I had picked up AA, KK, and QQ under the gun, first time I limped bet the pot took it down and showed, the next time bet $10 utg got callers, flopped a set, checked, check called the turn, and check raised the river with KKKAA and had the high hand. the next time I got queens I made it $10 under the gun and got two callers, check raised the flop and took it down.

So now i have KK on the button and gavin from middle position makes it $16 to go, he has made it $13-$16 probably 7 of the last 12 hands. I decide to make a play on him by making it look like im making a play on him, two people call and I make it $100 to go from the button. Anywhere else I would not be able to make this play, but since he may think Im betting from the button I have a larger range of hands to make this play with, gavin takes awhile and calls and the others fold. The flop comes 8 J Q, gavin takes a minute says to himself in a whisper, "well as long as you dont have aces" so I decide to bully him around this time and he checks to me and I go all in for $344. He folds and I take down the pot putting me over $550, I take the high hand a couple hands later and have $600+ in front of me now, i play 2 hands and cash out $600 up $500..

so in total

long night, sweet final hand

So I went to nats 1/2 game and it was the slowest i had ever seen the game move ever. I mean now, looking back and doing the math based on the high hand winners, im pretty sure i saw less than 120 hands in a little under 6 hours of play. which would have been less except the people who slowed the game out were gone at the end of playing. One kid analyzed every hand like it was up to him to decide the right decision or the world will fall, talking non stop and he was probably the dumbest human being i ever met. Like this dude was trying to hold legit conversations about hands when he has no idea what he is talking about, and all the while he is doing it like holding his cards up and showing people out of the hand like its "sympathy hour" i felt like telling him "no dude your J9 is no good you have J-high stop talking about a closed straight and fold your hand."

Anyway, slow play and dead cards got me pretty low in chips, so i re-loaded $60 more, putting my stack back up near $100 when the following hand came up. I have TT in middle position and this kid UTG +1 makes it $14 to go preflop. I call and two other players call. The flop comes 4 7 9. He bets $25 and I push for the rest of my stack, he has 99 and im out.

I go to the ATM and come back and buy in another $100. This gets grinded down casually, and so i get $50 back from the $100 i lent poke. I have that sitting around $100 and i had a hand against Gavin where I had 4T and raised it up to $10 preflop, i hit on the 4 7 8 flop. I knew gavin put me on big cards like AK AQ etc. So he checks the flop and I bet out $20, the other 2 players in the hand folded and Gavin takes a moment and calls. at this point I put gavin on a hand like K6 or A6 with a gutshot draw and hoping maybe I have KQ or JQ or just trying to steal the pot from me knowing i have big cards. the turn comes 4 7 8 Q and Gavin bets out $75, i decide to go with my read and put my last $23 in over top of his bet, and he shows 97o. stunning, bad read i guess lol. So I get the last $50 I lent out and now I am into this game for $360. with this $50 I double up with A2 when the flop comes T22 and Gavin calls my all in with JQ. what a fish. the turn was a 2 and now I have got the High hand on lock. I have like that $100 for the whole time and finally i get paid for the high hand. Sitting with $150 I make some bluffs and show, and i also get mixed up in some pots i shouldnt have been in. anyway, the last hand of the night, which wasnt announced as the last hand of the night, I have like $95 left.

Gavin makes it $7 to go and I call with 58d. Joey calls and its three handed. The flop comes 3d 4c Ts. Gavin checks, I check and joey checks. The turn is the 2d and I am now open ended with a flush draw. Gavin bets $15 and I call, and joey calls. The river comes 3d 4c Ts 2d Jd.
Gavin thinks for a moment and checks. Now I am looking at a $51 pot. I decide to overbet it all in, for many reasons,
1. Joey is the only person i bluffed at all night, and it worked twice and failed once, but all three times I made sure everyone knew.
2.Gavin commented on me bluffing alot, despite it only being joey.
3. both of them had stacks upward of $300.

I go all in for $73. Joey makes some comment like "if i let you catch up im gonna hate myself" or something, and calls. now gavin flips up T4 and says he thinks he has the best hand. Joey tells him "two pair is no good" and gavin looks at him, and then verbalizes what he is thinking. He is thinking I am on a bluff and he is not worried about that at all. Now thinking I was bluffing he put joey on a pair of Tens because he thought joey thought i was bluffing too. Gavin flipped up his hand and joey said something about his hand being dead but joey then smiled and said nah thats fine. Now this looks like joey is afraid of Gavins hand and that he does read me as a bluff and joey has like Tens or a pocket pair. Gavin doesnt even think about what I have for a second because my all in bet read bluff all over it. So Gavin calls and Joey has 56 for the straight and I show 58d and take down the $250 pot.

then i cashed out and went home down
$110 for the night.

Friday -$110

1/2 NL fri, wed.

So I played at the tville game on friday and doubled some guy up when my QQ couldnt hold up against his T8 after getting it all in on the flop on a T 4 7 board. Got my stack back up to even after re-loading $60 more, then made a bad read for $30 on the river with 88 against KK. Down $40 for the night on Friday.
Friday (-$4o)

Then last night I played a Dimitris house in a $20 tournament and then a .50/1 cash game. Busted in the tournament after making the wrong play into some kid who was really tight. and he took most of my chips with tptk. In the cash game I played really well and ran my $50 stack up to $190. ending the night with $120 profit. then I lost 20 of that back when rolling the dice and playing chinese poker afterwards, but im not going to count those as poker losses..
Wednesday +$120

1/2 at Kilgus'

Went to Kilgus' last night, played 1/2, bought in for $100 and played 4 and 5 handed for the first 40 minutes, one hand i had 6Tspades and the flop came 3s 6c 8s and kilgus had top pair. He bet like 10 and I called, the turn was a spade and he moved all in over my raise and I busted him for the first time.
After that I dont remember much, lately its been autodrive, I cant really recall every hand and every bet, Ill try harder next time, anyway, I cashed out $480 last night.

Tues. profit = +380

To recap, in 4 games since i decided to start a bankroll
Tuesday games = +400, -240, +380 = $540
Wednesday games = +$520
Total = +$1060

1/2 NL in Tville

played at nats the other night, caught a rough stretch of cards to start, first 40 hands or so the best hand I saw was KJo. anyway, bought in for $200, down to $30 when my luck turned around. In the cutoff, I have 67o. Folded around to me, so I decided to take a stab at the pot and steal the blinds, I bet $15, the big blind goes all in after it was folded to him, he went all in for $29, I call, and he has AA. Board came 3 8 T 4 9. From then on I just kept hitting cards. Picked up KK twice in three hands, and won those both. alot of stuff I dont remember because it was just a rush of hands and money so quick. Ended up with $720 in front of me and was able to pay off $200 in debt i had leaving me with $520 stack at the end of the night, all of which was profit. nice night, ive been playing pretty good and with some luck I have had a pretty good start to building a bankroll. If this pace continues, even if it slows a little, I should be able to go with kilgus to Turning Stone during spring break will a real bankroll, so that should be pretty cool hopefully I can play some 300 max, instead of the rockfest of tables at 100 max at Turning stone.
